I wanted to post a picture of my baby shower cake that Richelle made for my first shower with friends and family and I am sad to say that I didn't get a picture of the cake that she made for the SURPRISE shower at work. Isn't she a talented cake maker... I am not sure if there is a specific job title for "cake maker" but needless to say she is talented.
I work for the most amazing company, Community Partnership where I am a Program Director. I have had the opportunity to work with kids and adult (with developmental disabilities) and their families. I have met so many amazing individuals and parents. At Director's meeting in April, I had a surprise diaper baby shower. It was amazing to get loaded up on TONS of diapers in addition to the diapers that other friends and family have given Shane and I. The babies also got several outfits and other baby items to accessorize. Richelle, made another amazing cake to be enjoyed by all (Yes, I am so lucky to work with some of my best friends). She is amazing!! Thank you to everyone, it was a lot of fun. Also, at my office in Nampa, the staff threw us a baby shower before I left on maternity leave. The babies again were showered with clothes, diapers, toys, books, bathing items and the list goes on and on. Shane and I have really appreciated all of the support and love. We feel so fortunate to have such wonderful people in our lives.

I had the most amazing bab(ies) shower thanks to my friends Emily and Andrea. They have shared in our journey to have a family and it was so fun to enjoy this special day with them. It seemed unreal to actually be celebrating the birth of my own children. I have been to a billion baby showers and I couldn't believe that it was my turn. Thank you to everyone that made it so special and traveled from near and far. My sisters came from Rexburg, Idaho and Vancouver, Washington and my mother came from Bend, Or (my home town). Also, my dear Abbey came from Bend as well. It was fun to bring together friends from all realms of my life... work, church, soccer, and college. The twins were showered with presents that they will be sporting throughout the next few years I couldn't believe everyone's generosity (THANK YOU- oh and one day i will get it together and mail out my thank you cards to personalize that a bit more.. haha). Emily, the all-star that she is made the decorations and coordinated the invites to the thank-you cards, and to the decor and cake. She is one of the most gifted people that I know... who has four children and has time to throw a shower while her kitchen is being remodeled, children involved in different activities, works part-time cleaning, engages in a zillion hours of service a week, and the list just goes on and on. The woman is amazing and doesn't even think twice about anything she does for others, she just jumps in and takes charge. I posted a few pics to share in the fun day.

I couldn't have asked for a better friend.
You have taught me how to be a better daughter, sister, friend and wife.
I have shared with you some of my greatest joys, adventures, and accomplishments; and now,
I get to watch you experience the joy your two little ones are going to bring you! I can't wait for their arrival.
I hope you have the greatest birthday Chelsea Ann. You are so loved!
